Job Description

The Drafter position provides drawing updates and technical support to maintain updated documentation by performing the following duties below.

 

*This position qualifies for the NANA Worley Candidate Referral Program, available only to existing NANA Worley employees*

 

This position is intended for execution from the NANA Worley offices in Anchorage, Alaska, USA.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains project deliverable systems and records.
  • Incorporate redline changes.
  • Update drawings utilizing AutoCAD, Raster Design, and SAP PMS module.
  • Perform thorough back check on work before submitting to a checker.
  • Maintains effective communication between all related project members.
  • Executes procedures to evaluate information.
  • Utilizes appropriate technologies for specific project needs.
  • Files engineering project deliverable related documentation.
  • Performs media reproduction services including copying, documentation and/or scanning if necessary.
  • Coordinates and completes work to meet project schedules and deadlines.
  • Interprets and incorporates engineering markups.
  • Proficiently operates various AutoCAD systems. Uses computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform design tasks.
  • Work under general direction of discipline leads in accordance with project deadlines, priorities, and budgets.
  • Prepare complete documentation packages.
  • Other duties that are pertinent to the department or unit’s success also may be assigned.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent. 
  • Familiarity with computer-assisted engineering/design software and an interest in Drafting and Design.
  • Certification in AutoCAD or equivalent drafting experience is preferred.
  • Advanced skillset with Microsoft Office Suite.

 

Language Ability:

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.

 

Math Ability:

Math skills sufficient to: Add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Compute rate, ratio, and percent. Draw and interpret bar graphs.

 

Reasoning Ability:

Solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Interpret an extensive variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

 

Computer Skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have a working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and current versions of AutoCAD design software.
